June 2017.
Dear Friend:
Time moves forward, and we do our best to move along with it….and …circumstances are now favourable for me to begin the transition into a new life chapter and eventually retirement.
My girlfriend and I have been going together for two years, and it is agreeable to move our relationship forward. The original plan was for me to continue to work in Collingwood indefinitely, and once retired, in perhaps three or four years, My Lady would relocate and we would begin our lives together. However, as I am approaching the grand age of 58, perhaps not aged by some accounts, our time together would be in the order of 20...maybe 25... perhaps beyond a prayer 30 years. And, even if we have those years, those years will typically become more challenged with health issues. I don't want to be looking back over time, years that will pass all too quickly, to realize that we spent the best of our years apart.
So... for the sake of romance and sharing my life with someone I can have a good relationship with, the time has come to make a change.
As part of this process I will be relocating my practice in association with Dr. Neil Patrick, who will eventually assume my practice.
This opportunity allows me a timely transition, benefits Dr. Patrick’s practice, and as Neil’s approach to patient care is very similar to my own, entrusts that my patients will continue to have access to excellent chiropractic care… and I think that you will come to appreciate that he’s a nice guy too!
Thank you to all for the opportunity to serve you. It has been an honour and a privilege.
Sincerely,
Dr. Wayne Coghlan

Greetings from Dr. Neil Patrick
Dear Patients:
As Dr. Coghlan’s colleague, I am honoured to be entrusted to continue your chiropractic care and I look forward to meeting you as he transitions into his retirement. In the meantime here is a little more about me:
I was born and raised in Oakville, and grew up skiing with my family at Devil’s Glen. Following high school I earned my honours Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Guelph (the same University as Dr. Coghlan), and then my Doctor of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. Interspersed in my higher education was travel throughout the world and within Canada. Following my graduation from CMCC in 2004 I worked as a locum chiropractor first in Portugal, and then throughout Ontario.
I always loved my time in the Collingwood area, and am privileged to have been able to choose to live and work here now. I first opened my practice in the Creemore Medical Centre in 2006, and added the Collingwood office at 69 First Street in 2010. My wife and I live in the country on top of the escarpment (coincidentally, next door to where Dr. Coghlan and his family lived for a few years), and love hiking, biking, skiing, snowboarding and being outdoors as much as we can.
My approach to patient care is very similar to Dr. Coghlan’s. I am an evidence-based chiropractorusing gentle, hands-on soft tissue and adjustment techniques to treat a wide range of musculoskeletal complaints. As a doctor of chiropractic I am well-trained to diagnose and treat conditions such as headaches, neck or back pain, as well as various sports and repetitive strain injuries common within our active community. I can also provide custom foot orthotics and medical compression hosiery.
I share the Collingwood office space with registered massage therapists, an acupuncturist and shiatsu therapist, and cosmetic laser therapist, and I enjoy working in collaboration with other health professionals such as physiotherapists, family physicians and specialists.
I wish to extend my best wishes and appreciation to Dr. Coghlan as he transitions into his next adventure. And, with your permission, I look forward to being of service to you.

Sincerely,
Dr. Neil Patrick
